Jiah Khan, 25, found dead in her apartment in Mumbai on 3rd June, as she hanged her self after a break up with her boyfriend Suraj Pancholi, 21. Four days later a 6 page suicide note was found by her sister Kavita, that states the reason for her suicide was her break up with her boyfriend.
Jiah Khan an American born British Indian actress made her first appearance in Bollywood through her debut movie Nishabd. Staring opposite the king of Bollywood Amitab Bachan himself, she showed a promising future and was also nominated for filmfare best female debut actress.
It seems that Jiah had been in a rocky relation with Suraj for quite some time. Though Jiah points her finger at Suraj in the letter for being the main reason for her suicide, Suraj's mother Zarina defends her son by saying "my husband Aditya and I are grieving for Jiah but our son Suraj was not responsible for her death." Suraj has been charged with abetting the actress' suicide.
